Use a new ruler by Creative Grids that makes tricky looking piecing simple with strip piecing. There are many patterns but this is the best one to start with--and it's so pretty. Jeannie will teach this two time class beginning Feb 19 @ 1:30 or Feb 26 @ 6:00 ($30)

Club offers a free "Block of the Month" program which allows you to choose your fabrics and bring your block each month for points--no penalties. You will see new notions and accessories--and always get the first look at new fabrics and quilt programs--with a discount! We collect items for Tarrant County Safe Haven, and also items for Linus and Cook's Children's Hospital. We love to learn as we share and encourage all levels of stitchers as we offer special challenges to the groups. Come join us for a great experience--membership is $35 for the year.

Monthly meeting of American Sewing Guild

Work with a simple pattern and practice shapes as you learn the basic techniques and stitches for machine applique. Jeannie loves to applique and shares her ideas with you as you work through a simple project-and also learn a little about using the Scan 'N Cut to make your shapes easier to manage! Class Feb 22nd @ 6:00 ($20)

This new program is coming with some of the newer models, and is available to anyone with embroidery and does so much. Learn to basics in this hands-on computer class

Using a variety of fabric strips and easy techniques, create a unique runner or quilt. One pattern includes a ruler by Eleanor Burns and great directions, or you can "vary" your project in style. Easy and fun--Mary B will teach this on Jan 14th @ 1:30 or Feb 28th @ 6:00 ($20)

Learn the basics of getting your designs onto your project where you want them! We will use templates, hoop markings, snowman, laser, camera and projector techniques--each machine has different features that will help you. That last minute rush is so frustrating, and we have so many wonderful ideas for projects that you will have fun with. We keep the Christmas fabrics around all year so--get ready!! Get a jump on Christmas, join us to make the Embroidery Garden "two hooping" large Christmas stockings . You will need a large hoop embroidery machine - Brother Luminaire or Dream Machine-, Viking Epic or Pfaff Icon (just ask at the store to be sure if your machine will fit) - it will require some sewing also. Never before have you been able to make this size of stocking on your embroidery machine. Class with Linda on March 13 @ 9:30 or March 16th @ 1:30 ($20)

This gathering is for anyone who loves to be around sewing, quilting, embroidery, machines, notions and "sew" much more. We gather the first Saturday of each month and the Friday before the first Saturday. Jeannie and Jane share new patterns and notions, fabrics and great new ideas and techniques. Sometimes there is a special challenge to participate in, and there are lots of door prizes! We do "show and tell" so that members can share their projects--it is wonderful and fun. Our main service project is to bring pillowcases for Cook?s Children?s Hospital, but we also donate to the Linus Project. We hope you will join us--everyone is welcome. We take a $5 per session donation to help with the handouts and door prizes--and everyone gets a fat quarter on their birthday month!

We try our best to offer classes for many of our machines, and offer free group classes for those purchased here in several categories. If you have questions about your machine, please take a look at the basic classes offered or call the store for help. Machine owners who did not purchase here may pay to take these classes.

Done with your embroidery machine. Special placement techniques create continuous line designs on your quilt top. Class will teach the basics on layered fabrics--and the magnetic hoop will be shown. Class with Jeannie on March 15 @ 6:00 ($20)

Continue the adventure of machine embroidery with more techniques--this workshop class will stitch up lace, applique, more lettering programming plus work with more placement skills for any machine.

Called "Make Yourself at Home", features so many special techniques and fabrics. We will have some kits available for both the embroidered version and the sewing version. There are unique dimensional add-ons such as pillows on the couch that are just super cute. Class on March 9th at 9:30 is an introduction to the program, and March 23rd is a sewing workshop. This is brand new and was the "hit" at Fall Quilt Market!! Fee for two classes is $25

This design is stunning and has many options on the CD from OESD Designs. Debroah will teach this, and you will discover how fun and easy lace embroidery can be when using the correct accessories. Class March 14 @ 1:30 and 6:00 ($20)

This design by Laura Heine makes a wonderful quilt, or lots of house styles for other decorative projects. Beverly will teach you how to use foundation piecing techniques, starting with the pattern prep and on to the perfect straight stitching--you get to follow a line! There are two sessions scheduled-one in January and a second in March that you can join any time. Session one begins Jan 25 or 26 @9:30. The second session is March 15 & 16 @ 9:30. Each class is ($20)

Premier Embroidery Club meets once a month to enhance your use of software with so many capabilities. The new Viking Premier Plus 2 Software will be used in this class, with limited support of Premier Plus continuing.
