Mary B is having fun with this one--it starts with 5” squares (perfect for a charm pack) and turns into a tricky looking block with few seams--then you can put them together into a runner to quilt--with no matching!!!

Jewel from the Brother Company will be in our store on Thursday, October 18th to demo the Luminaire and the new Brother Scan ‘N Cut DX from 10:00 to 1:00. She will show you many of the great new features of both and answer your questions. If you already own these, this is a great “early education”. We would like to know you are coming so that we will have seats--we welcome you and just might have snacks!

This is a workshop class to teach the basics of threads, stabilizers, needles, hooping, placement and stitching on a variety of fabrics. This is a fun but "workhorse" class. Using the Mini Quick Curve ruler, you will cut and easily piece your tree and background fabrics into this unique shape--add simple outline quilting and love the look! Two time classes with Jeannie begin Oct 29 @ 1:30 or long class on Nov 24 @ 9:30

SEW fun!! Using pre-cut fabric strips, turn them into batting filled coils and then stitch up a rectangular or oval rug or mat. These are really popular and so pretty. Beverly will guide you along, planning your colors, with a week in between to get some “homework” done!

Lace is “sew” much fun--easy and beautiful. Stitch up a bookmark or ornament in this class with special stabilizer and go home with your decoration or gift! Class with Jeannie on Dec 15 @ 9:30 ($20)

This is such a fun and creative technique, and in class you will stitch two styles—one a pretty Sunbonnet design on a napkin or towel. With the cutter machine popularity (like the Brother Scan 'N Cut) we have added lots of possibilities with this type of embroidery.

Choose your holiday--Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas and stitch up these cute and unique coasters by Claudia. Earleen will lead this class on Oct 20 @ 9:30 ($20)

Jane and Jeannie have a “secret” runner project planned for this class on a Sunday--kits will be available with your pattern as we work through the “clues” together--a fun day on Nov 11th @ 12:30.

Premier Embroidery Club meets once a month to enhance your use of software with so many capabilities. The new Viking Premier Plus 2 Software will be used in this class, with limited support of Premier Plus continuing.

It’s a perfect time for cards, and Teresa has some really pretty ones for you to make, often with a holiday theme. Paper is so fun as the machine works magic and your addition of “glue” creates dimension. Class Nov 2 @ 1:30 or 6:00 ($20)

"What is this funny-looking thing?"—A basic introduction to serger application, threading, curves, corners, balanced overlocking and gathering. If you have not taken this class,or if you need a refresher, come join us.

Create something special and useful using your serger. We will stitch a “Christmas Tree” napkin, a ruffle finish for a towel and a wine/gift bag almost totally on your serger. Techniques include rolled hem, plus three and four thread serging.

We have a "Sew-In" scheduled to help you with those unfinished --just sign up and bring a snack!

Beverly has done it again--this stylish bag features a convertible carryall with a “fold-down” to make the bag larger or smaller depending you your needs. Great for using cork or “special” fabric with your cottons--great straps too. Two time class begins Nov 6 @ 9:30 ($30)

Mary will teach this wonderful tree hanging which can be decorated for any holiday--but is always good for Christmas. Simple piecing and adjustable in height.

The “Westalee” program has been great for many folks, and we have even more to offer now using the quilting rulers with the special ruler foot on your flatbed sewing machines, with free-motion stitching. The Westalee Basics class gets you started with the rulers as you learn to maneuver and manipulate your designs.

Class will use all of the rulers in the sampler set as you learn and practice Clamshells, spiral and rotating designs, arcs and more. You will also learn how helpful the crosshair square rulers are for your projects.
